BREAKING NEWS: PM Vows to Take Back 10 ASEAN

KANDAL: The Prime Minister of Cambodia has announced that he is committed to restoring the spirit of ASEAN by trying to bring Myanmar back to the ASEAN Summit in the spirit of the Charter of the United Nations.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for a new international airport in Kandal Stung district, Kandal province, he said that leaving Myanmar outside ASEAN is making the country more isolated and ASEAN could not help the Myanmar. So, he said that the only solution is bringing Myanmar back to ASEAN and abide the ASEAN Charter.

The Prime Minister has added that his decision was criticized by some people as incorrect, but he said that only working with the leaders of Myanmar can find a solution.

The Prime Minister says, "Is the rescue ASEAN divided from 9 to 10. Am I at fault? If ASEAN 9 is left, it is unconstitutional, ASEAN is gone."|

Cambodia will take over the rotating chairmanship of ASEAN on 1 January 2022. As the chair of ASEAN in 2022. Prime Minister Hun Sen said that he will go to Myanmar on 7-8 January 2022.
